About
Ella Nowinski is an artist who grew up in South Silicon Valley and is now based in San Francisco. She is well-versed in multiple mediums but works primarily with paint, watercolor, and public installations. She is currently an art and design student at the University of San Francisco and previously attended Indiana University – Bloomington. She is an optimistic person who leads her life searching for fulfillment. Art has become a way for her to express inner emotions and stories from her personal life. Her creation is distinguished by a persistent sense of curiosity and creativity, reflected in the originality of her pieces. She is passionate about the transformative power of the stories that art tells us, allowing artists to voice social change, complex emotions, and deep personal narratives.
For Ella, art has always been the way she has made sense of the world around her. She feels as though she didn’t choose art, but art chose her. Being an artist isn’t just something she does, It’s who she is. Her work is a reflection of her curiosity, questions, culture, and overall life. It’s her response to the world as she experiences it, allowing all of her work to be unique to her own identity. She believes she was destined to be an artist because she never saw another path that felt more honest to herself. Art is where she sees the most of herself, and through that, she hopes others see parts of themselves, too.
